We think it's important that you:

  • be aware of non-refundable hotels and tours
    There are a few hotels and tours don't offer a refund if you cancel your booking if your booking falls within their cancellation period. The tradeoff for such strict policies is often a great value deal and this brings us to the second tip below.
  • read cancellation policies
    As boring as fine print might look, always read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation so you know what you're in for if you do have to cancel.
  • keep your confirmation email
    When you make a reservation, we will send you a confirmation email. Print it and take it with you. Don't delete the original email until you have completed your stay and know you have been billed correctly.
  • check-in early if possible
    The earlier in the day you check into a hotel, the more likely you are to be given a room or suite that matches your special requests or preferences if you have any.
  • know that hotel rates change
    Hotel rates vary by season, day of week, during special events, etc. The rates are there for you to use and compare hotels in the same location during the period of your intended stay.
  • Book tours in advance some tours are likely to book out either because they are popular or because there is only a limited amount of seats available per day. Don't delay in making a booking for your tours. In many cases you might only need to pay a deposit to secure your place and the balance can be paid on the day of travel. With extended tours, you generally only need to pay the full amount by no later than 4 6 weeks prior to the departure date to secure your place.

Payments

For hotel bookings, you will need to book and pay at the same time to get the rates that are shown.

For tour bookings, upon receipt of your booking request, you will only be charged a booking deposit of between 10 - 25% of the ticket value once we confirm your spot on the tour. If full payment is required prior to your travel date, you will be advised by email. Upon completion of your booking, and receipt of payment, our reservations team will email you a Travel Voucher confirming your reservation.

Are payments made to Hotels and Tours going to be safe?

You can feel secure in that you are dealing with a licensed travel agency and registered Australian company with the latest in online payment security technology. You can pay for tours by cheque (if there is enough time) or direct deposit if you don't wish to pay by credit card.

What is our service?

Apart from making your flight arrangements, we look after your post arrival arrangements. We try to match people with the right tours and accommodation to help them have the best value for trip. We don't book flights but can point you in the right direction for where to book them if requested. We can also organise travel insurance, and car or campervan hire to fit in with your schedule.

How are we paid?

We are only paid if and when we make bookings with the various hotel, tour, car and campervan hire and travel insurance providers on our web site on your behalf. Our friendly local information and advice comes to you free of charge and because we are only paid when we make bookings, we rely your bookings to continue to exist. We earn our living by making sure travellers have good holidays and rely on repeat and referral business. We ask that if you are happy with the service you receive from us, that you do make your bookings with us.

What if the hotel or tour that I have selected is not available?

We will notify you by email or phone if your chosen accommodation or tour is not available. We will do our best to suggest alternative options or dates but you are under no obligation if your original booking item is not available.

Can I change my reservation?

Please check at the time of booking if it is non refundable or non changeable. Most times you can make changes to your reservation at little to no cost. If there is a price increase between your old and new reservation date request, we will give you that information prior to changing your reservation. If you have booked something at a sale price it may not be available on different dates or if you re-book outside of the sale period - the sale item you've purchased may be non-refundable, so please be aware of this when making a booking.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

As long as you give enough notice there should be no problems with cancelling your booking however the exact amount of any cancellation fee will depend on the specific tour or accommodation. We will do our best to minimise any cancellation fees and in some instances you may be able to use the cancellation fee as credit toward the same tour or hotel if you re-book within 12 months of the original booking.

What is the currency?

All quotes and rates on our websites are in AUD $

Are the room rates on your site per person or per room per night?

The quoted room rate is per room per night. The rate will reflect the number of persons you entered on your enquiry form.

What age do the children's rates apply to?

The children's rates generally apply between the ages of 4-14 yrs; however in some instances children's rates may start from 2yrs up to 17yrs. Please check in the pricing area of each tour or hotel description to clarify.

Am I eligible for the family rate?

Families of 2 adults and 2 children between the ages of 4 14 yrs are eligible for the family rate only. If there are more than 2 children in one family between the ages of 4 14 years then an extra child rate must be added to the overall family rate to get the total price.

At the time of payment for a booking, Hotels and Tours require personal, business and financial information, such as name, e-mail address, telephone number and credit card number. This information is necessary to process the order and to secure your booking. This information is secured by 128 bit encryption and we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to protect your online order.

Only our customer service staff have access to your information. We do not store or access credit card information from our Web server after your order is processed.
